The Celtic Freeport is an exciting project that will unlock the widest possible opportunities for Wales by accelerating innovation and encouraging significant investment, while fast-tracking modern skills for new green industries and national decarbonisation.
Following our incorporation as a company, we are seeking a Chair for an initial three year term.
Leading our board which comprises both public and private sector directors, and working with our newly recruited Chief Executive, you will ensure that this vital project is brought to fruition. A natural convenor, you will work across our partners, landowners, supply chains and beyond for the greater good of our residents. You will act as a global and national ambassador for the Freeport and the broader region, liaising with industry and government on a national and international stage, as well as local communities. Above all, you will ensure that we fulfil our commitment to deliver prosperity and economic growth, driving maximum value from our tremendous built and natural assets.
You will be an experienced executive or non-executive director with a track record of getting things done across both public and private sector, working across organisational and geographical boundaries. You will ensure that the highest standards of governance are maintained, and that the board and wider Celtic Freeport company deliver this transformative project. You will also share our values, and our commitment to delivering better social and economic outcomes for the people of our region, alongside the development of a cleaner, greener and more energy-independent UK.
