Haush Ltd, a green energy specialist, has submitted a planning application to Pembrokeshire County Council for a 15MW green hydrogen production facility at Gate 4, within the Celtic Freeport tax site at Pembroke Dock.
The proposed development includes electrolysers, compressors, a substation and associated infrastructure.
The facility aims to produce green hydrogen by electrolysing water using electricity sourced from renewable energy via the National Grid.
Haush’s vision is to decarbonise the transportation and construction industries by partnering with communities to produce green hydrogen, thereby significantly reducing carbon emissions.
The Pembroke Dock site is home to a growing world-class centre for marine energy and engineering, focusing on the low carbon energy and fuels sectors.
A decision is expected in the coming months.
